The scars you left me
with always seem to
tighten their grip on me
when I think of loving you again
It reminds me of what you’re
capable of, and how hard
I worked to let you go…
The scars you left me
with always seem to
tighten their grip on me
when I think of loving you again
It reminds me of what you’re
capable of, and how hard
I worked to let you go…
One day you’ll see that
two hearts can create beauty.
Three words-I love you.
Sometimes the only way to capture how I feel is between the seal of an envelope
Pour my heart out and then place it in your hands
Unaware of what you’ll do and quite honestly it doesn’t matter
Al I know is that the burden is no longer mine
Unbelievable
In the dark their light still shines
That’s when I knew strength
~Maybe I should start a photo series called, “Bridge”~
Have you ever noticed the things beyond the ledge?
The inanimate objects surprisingly all striking a pose
They know what they are worth
And they just wait patiently for somebody…anybody
To give them a second look
I’ve never realized how much I have in common with the players on the sidelines
Aren’t we all just waiting to be tagged in?
Anxious for the day we can display our special skills…
She grows in silence
But stands up tall and mighty
The quiet forest
It’s here!!!

And though I am home, I’m not really
Every time my eyes close, I am back on that bridge
Looking at all the things I am too scared to see with my eyes open
And as expected, you were there holding my hand
Reassuring me that it’s okay to wake up
Wake up!
You were once my rock
Then like paper you crumbled
Scissors cut all ties
With my son, I learned how to love.
But with my daughter, I am learning how to love myself.

.
I see how you look at me, little one
I see you studying my smile wondering just what it is that makes my cheeks crinkle
I see you stand there, little version of me—and I want to be better
So I am learning to
Crave my curves
Serenade my scars
And long for the lines that lay across my thighs
When I see you seeing me, I want my self love to scream out, “I am worthy no matter how I look”
I see how you look at me, little one
Your eyes house a sparkle you’d never find among the stars
And I will do whatever I can, to keep them sparkling forever.
